mini art news round up August 21

Aug 21st, 2009 | By Chris | Category: Random Shanghai stuff...

As Shanghai warms up for art week, reportedly there are numerous important art people descending on the city.

Here’s Shanghai Eye’s vaguely remembered list of events for the opening few days (if you’re really keen there is also a Zhang Huan show at white cube in London apparently and he is also directing an opera in Belgium):

Art week should be around Sept 6- 14
Sept 8: 3 on the Bund Wu Shanzhuan opening
Minsheng Art Museum: A series of late night events
Sept 8 Stolen treasures show at Shangart :)
Sept 8 40m2 gallery has an opening
Sept 8 opening of the yibo hui (ie. Shanghai art fair at Shanghaimart)
Sept 9 SH Contemporary opening
Sept 9 Ke center Shanghai art 1979-2009
YYs a series of late night stuff
OV gallery has a series of art talks.
Likely every gallery in town will have an opening during this period, can’t remember any more right now.
