James Cohan Gallery Shanghai is pleased to host a concert by members of New York’s electric chamber group Bang on a Can All-Stars on Wednesday, October 21st, 7pm.
This will be the Bang on a Can All-Stars’ Shanghai premier which will feature works by some of today’s most innovative American composers and performers. It is also a musical complement to the gallery’s current exhibition “Young Americans “.

Formed in 1987 by composers Michael Gordon, David Lang and Julia Wolfe, Bang on a Can plays a vital role in America’s cultural landscape by commissioning, performing, creating, presenting and recording innovative and exciting contemporary music.
